The latest webinar from the GCRF TRADE Hub, led by the Brazilian Centre for Analysis and Planning (CEBRAP) and the UN Environment Programme World Conservation Monitoring Centre (UNEP-WCMC), is entitled “Champions in production, champions in development? An analysis of socioeconomic indicators in soybean-producing regions in Brazil”, and will take place on February 15th, from 1pm to 3pm (GMT). The webinar will be in Portuguese, with English translation.
The webinar will present an analysis of the soybean socioeconomic impacts in the Brazilian producing municipalities, and will discuss relevant social issues related to the expansion of commodity production in the Cerrado, including food security, the conditions of women in agribusiness and family farming, and conflicts and violence in soy production areas.
